General FAQ
Does the conference have virtual or hybrid tracks/meetings/events?
No. PACIS 2023 will be entirely physical, without any virtual or hybrid activities.
What time zone is the conference in?
The conference will take place in Beijing time zone

Are the conference proceedings included in my registration?
Yes, the conference proceedings will be available via the AIS eLibrary.
Registration FAQ
Do I need to register if I’m presenting?
For the paper to appear in the PACIS proceedings, at least one author of each paper will be required to participate (in-person) in the paper session and be registered for the conference by the early registration deadline. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in removal of your paper from the PACIS 2023 proceedings.
Do I need to register if I am a co-author but not presenting?
Each additional co-author attending the conference must register independently.
Do I need to register if I am a session chair?
Yes.
Can I register and pay oncite?
No, please register early to take advantage of the early registration discounts! The registration systems will close at July 9 23:59.
If I have already registered, how do I add an Ancillary Meeting/Workshop to my registration?
To add a workshop to your full conference registration please visit PACIS 2023 registration site to modify your registration.
What’s the last day for conference registration?
We strongly encourage all participants to complete the conference registration as soon as possible. Please click here to review registration deadlines and applicable rates.
What is the refund policy?
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Requests for refunds or cancellations must be in writing via email to maomingsong@jxufe.edu.cn, and are subject to the following schedule:
- Cancellation requests received before June 15: full refund less $50 administrative fee.
- Cancellation requests received between June 16 – June 25: full refund less $100 administrative fee.
- June 26 and onwards: no refund
Cancellation requests received beginning June 26 will not be eligible to receive a refund; the registrant will be liable for the full conference registration fee. This also includes workshop cancellations.
What is the substitution policy?
Substitutions are permitted at no additional fee. To request a substitution please email the name of the AIS member who you would like to transfer your registration to and their email address to maomingsong@jxufe.edu.cn by June 30, 2023. After July 1, 2023, substitutions will no longer be permitted.
Please Note: You or the member you are transferring your conference registration to are ineligible for any refunds or credits related to the registration transfer (i.e., refunds or credits towards workshops). Also note, the person you are transferring your registration to must be a current AIS member.
Membership FAQ
I am participating in the Doctoral Consortium, are membership fees included in my registration?
Student Doctoral Consortium invitees who are first time AIS members are eligible to receive a complimentary one-year AIS student membership; please contact the Membership Director to receive the promo code which you will need to complete your complimentary membership registration. If you are already a current member or have been in the past and will be renewing your membership, doctoral Consortium registration does not change your membership status and renewal will be at the prevailing rate.
I am not a member of AIS. Can I attend the conference?
Unfortunately, no, as this conference is open to current members of AIS. Please take the opportunity to join or renew your AIS membership or visit AIS Membership Benefits for more information. Author/Presenter/Session Chair/Conference Committee FAQ
Do I need to register if I’m presenting?

Ancillary Meetings & Workshops FAQ
May I register to only attend the pre-conference workshops and/or the ancillary meetings?
Full conference registration is required to attend any ancillary meetings.
If I have already registered, how do I add an ancillary meeting to my registration?
To add a workshop to your full conference registration, please visit the PACIS 2023 registration site to modify your registration.
